New year = new experiences, like having a tooth pulled...yay...

It had to be done, the molar broke on Christmas Eve but thankfully didn't hurt unless something hot or cold touched it, that made taking my pills a little awkward. I've always had weak teeth, when I was young I could never seem to leave the dentist without having to return for a filling. But I'll tell you, my jaw did not want to give up the tooth, I don't know how long it usually takes to remove one, but the dentist was working hard at it for over half an hour.

It's been a week now and I'm a little concerned that hole might be infected. I see the dentist again next Wednesday so until then I'm just going to frequently rinse with Listerine and hope that fixes the problem.

Now onto some awesome! I received a care package from Shuffles ^____^ It gave me such happy feet! Kiba [my new laptop] like Toboe only has two USB ports, but now, thanks to Shuffles I have 5!

5 in style!

When the sound is turned on it makes the Tardis noise whenever you plug a device into it ^_^

Max [my toxic mold] thinks the Tardis makes a lovely home!

I like that he covers up the very bright LED light ^_~

And finally here's a recent picture of my current cross stitch.

So I gotta say this was a pretty epic week for me ^_^

- Abilify has been added to my drug plan \o/ there was no way I could afford to take it, which is why my doctor had been sampling me until now. And with a fresh supply of pills I've been noticing positive results again.

If that wasn't great enough I give you this:

-
Oh Yes! That is none other than Martha Jone's Jacket which came in on Tuesday from Abbyshot I'm 100% thrilled with the cut and fit ^_^

And finally

- Progress on Berlin, last time to yesterday.

It doesn't feel like the home stretch yet, but I'm getting there.

I've been on Abilify for 3 weeks now and the positive reaction I had at the beginning is still there it just hasn't got any stronger [still fades in the early afternoon] I'll take what I can get and hope that it gets better the longer I'm on it. And besides one day of serious agitation I haven't noticed any adverse side effects.

Doctor Who is back \o/
- I was a little disappointed at first, just didn't feel quite right to me, but as always my show surprised me *flails* and filled me with *squee*
- Love, love LOVE! the Doctor's new coat!

Less than a month until my uncle's wedding, which means I need to find something to wear. Am not a fan of shopping in any form, but I have found a couple of shirts I'd like to at least try on, I'm set for dress pants.

First is from Suzy Shier and the second is Rickis

Is rather unlikely I'll be able to find them in store or that they'll look good on me ^_~ but they're worth looking into.

And here's another update on Murphy. [August 16th and today]

For some reason I was reminded today of just how many little things I'd wanted to post this month. Unfortunately my depression took a serious noes dive [thanks in no small part to excitement of a possible trip to Holland. I didn't realize until I knew it wasn't going to happen just how much I really need a change of scene]

So I think the only way I'll ever get caught up is if I make a list of the weird--I won't go so far as to say 'wonderful' don't promise what you can't deliver right?--things that have been piling up.

First: have a couple of TARDIS sightings
mum thought the design on the back of this hoodie looked TARDIS-esque

AJ and I were out for a walk one day when we noticed this lovely blue house ^_^

See the window above the door? Unfortunately I understand from my dad that isn't bigger on the inside, but seems ridiculously made up of hallways.

Second: A cross-stitching update.
I've been struggling for awhile now to stitch but picked up a pattern which I realized I needed to restart and have been making a lot of progress.

First image is where I was with the first attempt, I was stitching over-1 on 32ct, which I've decided is smaller than I actually want to try and work. Second picture is the restart stitching over-2. I started January 16th and that picture was taken on the 26th.

What else?

Oh! the money Alwin wanted to give me for the pillow, came in the mail today, which was a great relief. He hopes I can put it aside for my 'future' trip to Holland. That would be wonderful, but isn't possible. However my Oma has given me a gift I really don't deserve which has left me feeling like saving up for a trip is no longer impossible, it'll still take me quite awhile but *fingers crossed* I should manage it, in the not too distant future.

I believe there was more that I'd wanted to share, but I've either decided not to lay it on all of you...or--and probably more accurately--can't remember right now ^_^

I don't know why I haven't made a post about this before now, who knows? I'll blame it on insanity like I aways do [is an excellent excuse]

I've seen the first 4 episodes of Doctor Who's 5th season and I have to say I'm 100% thrilled with Eleven's performance! I was skeptical like a lot of people but I think that was mostly because I just loved Ten and couldn't imagine enjoying the show in the same way without him.

Well you might call me fickle [mum does, quite a lot actually] but I love Eleven's character just as much perhaps even more. I know that I'm easier to please some when it comes to TV shows/movies I realized now that part of the reason for this, is that my brain automatically fills in the blanks of a plot gap the way I'd deal with it if I were writing.

I was totally won over by Eleven with his Fish-custard! Right in that conversation with Amelia I could totally see Ten in him, and that's all I needed for him to be my Doctor. I've been watching each new episode with [profile] sergil which has simply been epic-ness! spoilery stuff )

Can't wait for next Saturday! this is the very first time I've watched the first half of a two parter without having the second episode waiting in the wings. Of the two parters that have been in the new Who I thought this one left off at a pretty good point.

Oh and I think Amy is brilliant!! [seems like an afterthought I know, but as Shiny as she is, she can't out shiny the Doctor. No one can]

For starters, here's an updated picture of Whiskers that I just too.

Where I was on March 30th and now April 11th

I'm steadily working on filling in the black of Whiskers' coat right now. I think I'll feel like I've over come a major hurdle when I'm done that.

Showed Sherlock Holmes to my family on Friday [at my uncle's home theater] it was a huge hit, and I've acquired a new addictive habit. Those of you that know me, know I hardly ever actually sit still for any length of time. And if I'm watching something I'm not really content unless I'm also doing something with my hands. This usually involves writing or more recently cross-stitching, neither of which I can do in a theater setting.

I decided to pick up a silver dollar [I call it that despite the fact its 1980 so nickel] and learn to roll it across the backs of my knuckles. It takes a surprisingly little amount of time [or maybe I practice more than most] to learn. It's ideal to keep whatever portion of my brain doesn't like to be bored occupied ^_^

[personal profile] shuffles and I watched the first episode of Doctor Who Season 5 - \o/ Am most thrilled with Eleven. I think the conversation he had with Amelia was what completely won me over, Ten was so obviously in there! I'm really looking forward to seeing more adventures with Eleven!
