Heero update
Jul. 25th, 2011 12:05 pmJust got home from taking Heero back to the vet for another recheck of his eye. And I feel a lot more optimistic than I did the last time.
On the way over mum and I were talking about Heero's eye and we both thought it might look a little less cloudy than it did before we started giving him the new eye drops.
The good news is there's still no sign of ulcer, the vet thinks it might be a case of Herpes which I understand a lot of cats from catteries can carry. So he suggested we put Heero on Lysine, which helps the body fight the virus.
We just gave him his first dose, I don't think the Miflin thinks all that much of it, but he may develop a taste for it in time. In any case he's exceptionally good for taking his meds.
I'm still very numb, as this is an exceptionally brighter outlook then the last one I had, but I feel nothing. That may be because I've been trying to prepare myself for the worst these last few days, it may take awhile to sink in. And I also don't want to get ahead of myself, give the lysine time to work.
